About AVIA Scholarship
The Indian Aviation industry has lead the global industrial growth in recent years leading to a significant increase in the number of pilots, air hostess and other airline support staff being employed. The steadily growing economy in India has resulted in further expansion in the aviation industry with two new airlines starting operations recently and numerous airports being upgraded or developed across the country to cope with increase in air traffic.
At the moment the industry is facing a shortage of appropriately qualified and employable human resource in various sectors within the aviation industry.
To create awareness among students on career opportunities in the aviation industry and to address this human resource shortage, Avel Flight School & Aviation College is proud to present the AVIA Scholarship 2014. There are 251 scholarships available this year with the cumulative total scholarship amounting to Rs. 2,46,25,000.
Objectives of Scholarship
- To create and promote awareness among school leaving students about the job opportunities in the aviation industry.
- To offer them an opportunity to take up aviation related courses with varying degrees of financial help through this scholarship.
- To create appropriately qualified high caliber human resource for employment within the industry.
This scholarship is open to all students who have completed their 10+2 this summer of 2014.
Format of Scholarship
Examination will include:
1. Written Aptitude Examination
2. An oral exam assessing general aptitude
3. A Simulator check when applicable

1. Commercial Pilot License
2. Flight Dispatch and Ground Handling Diploma
3. Air Hostess and Airport Operations Diploma
